Congressman Joe Sestak, Pennsylvania Democrat, spoke to reporters on Friday about the White House memo revealing former President Bill Clinton as the individual who asked him to drop out of the Pennsylvania Senatorial primary in exchange for a job. I asked Mr. Sestak if he ever thought what was happening could have risen to the level of a misdemeanor or a felony. “If I ever thought anything had been wrong about this, I would have reported it,” he said (video above).
It should be noted that Congressman Darrell Issa, California Republican and ranking member on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, stood on the Capitol steps behind Mr. Sestak and watched the Pennsylvania Congressman’s presser(photo above). Mr. Issa has been looking into the bribery allegations between the White House and Mr. Sestak for a number of months now. Following Rep. Sestak’s press conference, Rep. Issa appeared before reporters and made sure he had the last word before the Memorial day recess (video below).
