Shrove Tuesday Pancake Race

The Washington National Cathedral Pancake Races are held on Shrove Tuesday, the day before the start of Lent and known to some as "Fat Tuesday."

Dance festival draws fans to Dupont Circle

Dance in the Circle, a six-hour festival, transformed Dupont Circle into a moving mass of people bouncing to hip-hop, swaying to classical compositions and clapping with cloggers.
