Prince George's County police are investigating a body found in a Fort Washington creek Wednesday night.
A resident alerted authorities to the body around 8:30 p.m., according to police. The police responded to the 12200 block of Braemer Circle, where they found a decomposing body in the creek.
The body was taken to the medical examiner’s office. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the gender and cause of death.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
