New in Maryland: Belmont Crest

K. Hovnanian Homes is building 41 single-family homes on quarter-acre sites at Belmont Crest in Upper Marlboro, a community with tennis courts, walking trails, a picnic area and tot lots. Belmont Crest is located just off Pennsylvania Avenue near shopping centers, FedExField, the Prince George's County Equestrian Center and National Harbor.

Each home in this Prince George’s County community will include a brick front, low-maintenance vinyl siding, professional landscaping and a two-car garage.

Inside, all four models feature four bedrooms, 2½ baths, hardwood flooring in the foyer and powder room, 9-foot ceilings on the main level, crown and chair-rail molding, a gas fireplace, 42-inch raised-panel oak cabinets and Corian counters in the center-island kitchen, ceramic tile flooring in the baths, a luxury master bath with a soaking tub and separate shower, a full basement with a rough-in for a lower-level bath, and gas heat.

The homes have approximately 3,020 to 3,500 finished square feet, with base prices from $399,990 to $439,990. Homeowner association fees are $53 per month.

The Delaware model, with 3,021 square feet, is priced from $415,990. This home features a front porch that opens into a foyer with columns that frame the entrances to the formal living room and formal dining room.

The main level has a corner library with a powder room and an open, two-story family room with a fireplace. Adjacent to the family room is the center-island kitchen and breakfast area. This home also has a family-room extension and a morning room.

Upstairs, the master suite has an oversized walk-in closet and a luxury bath. Three more bedrooms, a second full bath and a laundry room complete this level. Buyers can add a fifth bedroom in place of the two-story family room.

Options include finished lower levels, conservatories, morning rooms, bay windows, room extensions and vaulted ceilings.
