The long-rumored matchup of the United States men’s national soccer team and perennial powerhouse Brazil at FedEx Field is now officially set.

The teams will face off in an exhibition at the home of the Washington Redskins on May 30 at 8 p.m., the Redskins announced Thursday. The game will be televised by ESPN2 and Univision. Tickets, which range from $40 to $135, will go on sale Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster outlets.

The game should feature the “A” teams from both sides, including the likes of Landon Donovan, Clint Dempsey and Tim Howard for the U.S. and Brazilian stars Neymar, Dani Alves and Robinho.

Though the U.S. has made the Washington area a regular venue for games through the years, this will be the national team’s first appearance at FedEx Field. The stadium, which opened in 1997, has hosted high-profile soccer matches in recent years, though.

A Champions League final rematch between Manchester United and Barcelona last summer drew 81,807 fans to Landover, Md., and 72,368 fans watched a 2009 game between Real Madrid and D.C. United.

The U.S. is 1-15 all-time against Brazil, with the lone win coming in 1998 in the Gold Cup in Los Angeles. The teams last met in August 2010 in East Rutherford, N.J., a 2-0 Brazil victory.
