'Your papers, please' must never be heard in America

It's hard to say whether it was a first, but it was certainly unusual: a pro-gun rally in the District of Columbia.

About 40 young people waved signs and voiced loud support for Second Amendment rights in the front of D.C. city hall on Friday, an unusual sight in a heavily Democratic city that is known for its strict gun-control laws.
He also said the District's level of violence shows its strict gun laws are not working.
Mr. Armstrong said almost all of the protesters resided in the Beltway area.
